It’s almost shearing time here at Hummingbird Hill Alpaca Farm. We will have a new shearer as our friend, and fellow party animal, Archie Kennedy, had to tend to family matters back home in Wyoming. We are scheduled for the afternoon of Friday April 4th around 1PM. Come on by to observe the process, to participate in real hands on farm work, or just for the famous after party with steak dinner. Call me at 757-291-6160. You will have a shearly fantastic time!
I wandered out in the cold, grey dawn to feed my animals, as any good Irishman would do. When I beheld a wonderous sight, the elusive green alpaca. Luckily I was wearing my warm extreme alpaca socks as I chased the lovely animal across the fields of Hummingbird Hill Farm. Not weighted down by my lightweight alpaca clothing, I almost had her in my grasp, when I tripped over a pot of gold that some Charles City leprechaun had left in my back pasture. Well,no green socks for sale, but I guess I am buying Guinness for the whole pub today. Happy St Paddy’s Day from Hummingbird Hill Alpacas!
A great solution for diabetes sufferers, our natural fiber alpaca socks are designed to meet your special needs. The tops are soft, and elastic, but non-restrictive to aid blood flow. While the soles are extra soft to avoid injury. they are also especially warm, and they wick moisture away better than manmade fiber. They are also made in USA. Please check out our alpaca diabetic socks today!
Had a great weekend at the Virginia Beach Polar Plunge. Met lots of cool people. Saw some incredible costumes( it was like Mardi Gras and Halloween) and passed out hundreds of cards. Most of all, people got to feel for themselves how magical the alpaca fiber is! Oh yeah, I also sold $1400 worth of socks , hats, scarves, and stuffed animals. I will definitely going back next year! I might even get wet next time.Stay Warm!!
