Meet Rivanna Peruvian Ice Man!

We needed to bring in some lines to improve our herd. In May, we took Annie and Chantilly to Rivanna River Farm outside of beautiful Charlottesville to breed them to some very nice males that they have. We met Bill and DeeDee several years ago at the Virginia Expo show and liked them very much. They do very well with their animals. They were knowledgeable and very helpful to us newbies. Well, we decided we needed to breed outside of our herd, so we went to them.

Annie was bred to Masterpeace, a wonderful white male. I am expecting another brown cria from her. Her first cria, Seamus turned out very dark brown even though she was bred to a very light beige male. Not a single bit of white or light on his whole body, LOL!

Chantilly was bred to Gold Bullion, a medium fawn male who is very fine and retaining his fineness as he gets a bit older.

In the process of these breedings, Bill and DeeDee offered us an option to buy Ice Man, a young (seven month old) male to add to our breeding program. They know that we are looking to add fineness to our animals and he is the one to do it!

I am so excited about him!
